+   Do both partners need to have ADHD?

No. Most of the couples we work with have one partner with ADHD and one without. Therapy is designed to help both partners — including the non-ADHD partner — feel heard, supported, and equipped with tools that work for the relationship as a whole.

+   Do we need a formal ADHD diagnosis to start?

Not at all. Many couples begin therapy suspecting ADHD is part of the picture but without a formal diagnosis. We can help you understand what you’re experiencing and, if helpful, refer you to trusted ADHD evaluators.

+   Are sessions in person or online?

All sessions are conducted online via secure video. This makes therapy accessible to busy couples anywhere in New York State and removes the friction of commuting after a long workday.

+   How long does ADHD couples therapy take?

Every couple is different. Some see meaningful change in 8 to 12 sessions; others continue longer to deepen the work. We’ll discuss your goals during the free consultation and revisit progress regularly.
